Homecook Braised Chicken with Potato

 Homecook Braised Chicken with Potato comfort food with tender chicken, soft potato and yummy gravy.


: Ingredients


 6chicken thighs and


4potatoes, cut into square


thumb-length ginger knob, sliced 2 stalks spring


onions, cut into thumb Length


1tbsp minced garlic


400ml chicken stock


Marinated chicken with :


tsp salt 2 tbsp oyster sauce


"2 tsp light soy sauce


2tsp thick dark soy sauce


1tbsp Chinese wine


1tbsp sesame oil


1tsp sugar


Steps:


1_ Heat up a wok or skillet over high heat.Add oil, brown


the potato chunks all sides, and set aside.


2_ add ginger and spring onions, fry until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add garlic, fry for 15 seconds. Add chicken


and stir fry to brown the meat all sides.


3_ Add chicken stock,Bring to a boil, then reduce heat until


a gentle simmer. Let braise, uncovered, for 30 minutes.


4_ Halfway through the braising, add fried potatoes. Stir


in gently, and add more water if needed.


5_ Once chicken is tender and potatoes are soft, taste the


gravy and season with salt and (optional). Garnish with spring onions and serve.
